.  MEETING THE WRITER.  .  hi, i'm rainbow, welcome. i have been writing miss wheeler since july 2021. i had an eleven blog originally (urls included theirmage and 11hopper), and after my second or third watch i decided to pick up nancy. some other fun facts about me are that i work with young kids, i am an eldest daughter, i love horror movies, and soda is my vice. mutuals are welcome to add me on discord @positivedayview for either ooc communication or writing! :).  001.  .  basic rules of the rpc, don't steal or copy, bully, be a crappy person. mun doesn't equal muse, you know the drill. if you voted for trump, or agree with him on anything, do not follow me. if you use ai or support it, please dni either. i also only write with those 21+ and i reserve the right to interact with whomever i choose and alter my rules at anytime. i will not be writing with duplicate nancys, sorry!.  002.  .  i use a mix of base icons made by others and screenshots provided through sites like nataliadyer.net and screencapped.net that i crop. i'm okay with gifs as long as they aren't huge, and don't mind how you format. i personally use rp icons and small text (except for dialogue, which is normal sized). i also alternate third and second person at times. if you need adjustments, feel free to tell me or alter my replies to your preference..  003.  .  season 5 was not up to par in its entirety for me personally so i do not consider all of it as my nancy's canon; however, i am open to writing within canon with other characters. i will make a post eventually with what i pick and choose to keep from the last season, but honestly i'm pretty open to lots of ideas for it, i don't have a set plot in mind for that verse (yet, anyway).

CHILDHOOD
nancy wheeler is a big sister. her brother’s name is mike, short for michael. she’s excited to have someone not mommy to play with. mommy’s chattering away. daddy’s snoring. mike’s crying. dishes clink, the vacuum roars. the house is very loud, and she is very quiet. mommy asks daddy to help out, and he does, but not with a smile. mommy puts her in ballet. tulle and little ballet slippers, hardwood floors, a room full of mirrors. it’ll help her branch out, learn balance and coordination, mommy says. she hopes it’ll get her to talk more. it doesn’t. lots of falling, bruises, and bumps. she wants to quit, because it hurts, and she’s not having fun. first recital comes, the applause is deafening, but it makes her feel good about herself. it’s nice, having daddy there in the crowd with mommy and mike, clapping and cheering. everyone is happy when she’s on stage, everyone is so proud, and maybe ballet isn’t so bad.PRETEENSballet and softball tryouts are coinciding, and she has to make a decision; her first real one. she knows she’s great on stage, how it makes her family feel, the way they all come together to see her. softball is new territory, maybe even rougher than ballet, and she might not do well. ballet is the winner, but she ends up the loser. it’s not like when she was younger, just showing up and looking cute, doing simple steps. with age brings new dances, a strict diet, and worrying about how she looks. missing meals, pushing food around to look like she ate more than she did, shivering constantly even while wearing sweaters. it’s not until she faints at a rehearsal that anyone realizes what she’s been doing. she has to go to a special hospital, one out of town. not too long after, nancy finds out she’s going to be a big sister to two, and oh yeah; she has to quit ballet.TEENAGER
her ballet slippers hang on her bedpost, and she has that matching necklace to remind her of what she lost. mom and dad don’t fight, dad doesn’t care enough to. it upsets mom, but she doesn’t treat him any differently, and that angers nancy. she vows never to end up like her parents, stuck in a loveless marriage with kids not wanted. steve harrington is her first boyfriend, and it’s a new experience. her best friend, barb, has been the only person she’s spoken to for the longest time, but somehow steve’s also made his way in. he’s cute, and the way he tries to impress her makes her feel special, even if his methods fail. he gives nancy attention, and genuinely seems interested in getting to know her, not just making the quiet girl in class talk. nancy tells barb about him, and he’s told all his friends. curled lips and fake kindness towards so-called princess. first event with these people is a party on a school night. it all goes downhill from there.
